We are artists, fans and event organisers working together to create a litter-free future for our music festivals. We focus on design, implementation, education and action to achieve a leave-no-trace result.
1. Be a caretaker - look after the site like it’s our own backyard
I commit to being awesome by respecting the planet and the land I’m partying on. I’ll take care to set my campsite up properly, pegging down tents and marquees to prevent wind damage. I’ll call out my mates that aren’t doing the right thing to ensure everyone’s summer is green and clean.
2. Buy less - seek new experiences over more stuff
I’ll bring the attitude I’ll say no to stuff, just because it’s cheap. I’ll refuse and reuse wherever possible and join the #BYOBottle movement to help turn the tide on plastic pollution.
3. Choose better - borrow, hire, buy secondhand or quality
Instead of buying a new, let’s try borrow off our mates, rent one onsite, buy second-hand or a tent for life. Can you nude your food and get rid of plastics? How can you best refuse and reuse? If you’re camping, BYO reusable coffee cup, tableware and cutlery!
4. Take it home - clean it up and pack it away ready for next time
Together, we’ll aim to leave no trace this summer., and clean up after ourselves, making sure any rubbish goes in the right bin - most festivals will have composting and recycling along with landfill waste.
